He countered, raising an eyebrow at her. A part of him wondered if her family knew about him. Then again, they were only just getting to know each other.. The crazy part was that he would go, if she really wanted him to be there.

It took Kieran a bit before he realized what had happened, it took everyone a minute but even more so with those in the magical comunity alligned with good or neutrality. Those with sensing powers could feel the danger in the air like it was tangible, the ones with teleporting abilities began pulling people out of fee falls in the sky, getting them out of the way of incoming traffic. His own enhanced hearing allowed him to hear the cries for help coming from all over, he managed to get 5 people in the short few second that he had thanks to his super speed. It wasn’t until he showed up at the manor and was basically tackled with a hug from Kiana that he found out what had happened, immediately he went to see Marina and Alicia only to learn that his daughter was 5 years older now and he had missed a pretty good chunk of her life.
After about a 3 hours there Alicia said that Marina needed to start getting ready for bed, though really she was just trying to give Kieran a chance to go and find Melinda without feeling bad for cutting out to do so. And so it was nearly 4 hours after he first appeared that he wound up finding Melinda, he didn’t bother being gentle as he wormed his way to her through the crowd of people looking for answers near Stark Tower. She seemed to be waiting to talk to Pepper Potts off to the side conveniently near a blind corner as the Stark CEO gave a speech about what had happened, half way through he pretended to trip so that he was mostly out of sight and instead shimmered into the building behind that blind corner.
When he was there and reached out to grab Mel’s arm and pull her around the corner well saying her name so she would know it was him.

He confessed, curious to see how she would react to this. They hadn't exactly talked about how old he really was yet. Nor had he shown her his true self yet. He rarely did, unless he truly trusted someone. But with her.. He could see that happening in the future.. His blue eyes (that stayed their true colour to her) widened in surprise when she shape shifted as well.
"I didn't know you could do that.."
He confessed as he observed her appreciatively for a moment.
"I have to say I prefer the real you. But this.. This is a good second look."
He stated with a mischievous wink.
