hey, don't know who needs to hear this, but if you're unsure why HDG is getting so much criticism, some of it because some people are accidentally writing shit that is accidentally super racist
benevolent colonialism is literally a racist myth~~~
and if you (general) keep going around saying shit like "humanity needs to be colonized / domesticated for our own good", you are accidentally parroting a major ecofascist argument. and I get that it's an accident and that you don't mean it like that,
and also, if you go around saying things like that out loud, a lot of people - especially in leftist and disabled and queer and multiracial spaces - are tbh probably going to avoid you
this isn't aggro, I promise, but legit, that is something that people are unhappy about and imho very right to question and criticize
