What should have been a foolproof meal at @estherskitchenlv where we had been before, was disappointing. Mainly because the service was off. The sourdough loaf and anchovy butter was amazing as usual. The Margherita pizza was ok but a bit overloaded with mozzarella, tomato sauce, pesto and Parmesan. The rigatoni with sausage was excellent and the bucatini cacio e pepe was good. My bucatini puttanesca wasn’t served until we called the server to remind him that everyone already had their main courses and I still didn’t. When I finally got my bucatini, it was overly al dente - so hard, it was not edible. When we told the server, we were told that they really do their pastas al dente, which would have been fine if it was like the others al dente pastas but not like the one I got. I sent it back and as everyone was already halfway through with their pasta, I didn’t ask for a another one. So I didn’t really get to eat a proper dinner and shared the others pastas instead. The bill came and we had to ask them to remove the “very al dente bucatini” from the bill which thankfully they did. This used to be on my Vegas off the strip list. Not anymore. #TravelswithaGourmet #TWAGLasVegas #estherskitchen (at Esther's Kitchen) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0h0vOznI9o/?igshid=ycknsbuyoqn5
