I swear this record hasn't been played in over 25 years, I bet, but thanks to the comeback of vinyl and record players, La Reina de la Onda Chicana, Laura Canales, is blasting in my living room. I'm glad my parents didn't throw away some of my old 45's from when I was little kid or any of their own collection of music before Tejano was Tejano music. It takes me back to those dances at the KC Hall in Alice that my parents would let me tag along to where I would sit on the edge of the stage and stare at Miss Laura all night.
