after, in valinor, elrond will sometimes falter, not hearing the familiar steps following his own. even after elrohir and elladan sail, he'll turn every so often and freeze, panicking for a moment because where are arwen and estel? when did he leave them behind? and as soon as that moment is over he's just feeling the loss of them all over again. the twins never say anything, never protest or even seem to notice the sudden stops. they just leave him time to compose himself until he's ready to keep walking.

Also for our purposes this is what Elladan and Elrohir wear when they are visiting Rivendell and lounging around, not what they wear to hunt orcs lol

@tolkiensiblingsweek, day 2: In which Estel wants to be just like his foster brothers, so they're taking him on an Adventure. (He's brought his wooden sword in case of monsters.)

Just barely finished in time for the last day of Nolofinwean Week, but I did it. Maybe at some point I'll do a matching portrait of Arwen. I debated which of them to draw, knowing I wouldn't have time to draw both. And it came down to me having drawn just Arwen more recently than just Aragorn. Still I'm happy with it. I stuck with the same color theme and a lot of the same patterns as I used in my 2023 piece of Aragorn and Arwen wed

So when Aragorn came to him, professing his love to Arwen, his only daughter, it's not the anger for their love that cause him to lash out but instead of the reality that he will lose both his son and his daughter.
