As a trans guy, I’ve had things with two cis men, they both as far as I knew were straight until one day they would end up saying they were bi and obviously I had feelings for them, we would make out a bit and whatever, we would be all cute and then about a week later they’d claim it never happened or that it doest count cause they were sure and I’m “basically a girl anyway”... how do I avoid this situation..?
Honestly? If you’re a trans guy then don’t get with cishet men. If they say they’re exploring their sexuality then they can find some other way to be certain.
Not to say that everyone who was straight yesterday but bi today isn’t genuinely bi, but if they were recently very sure that they were straight, then they’re likely still discovering themselves. Exploring is fine but if you don’t want to risk just being somebody’s experiment, then let them explore with someone else.
especially as a trans person… if you’re not stealth, or even if you’re pre-op or especially pre-T, then a cis man may not see you as you are. Someone who didn't show any indication of being anything but straight, until they began propositioning you, is possibly even taking advantage of you.
I wish there was a definite method I could give you to permanently avoid this, but the closest there is would be to just not get with cis people at all. Although it's a bit limiting, I know some trans/nb people do this because they're sick of cis bullshit.
