Esme was made so long ago (probably almost a decade old at this point) that I honestly can't remember. I almost want to say no since she's still always changing and developing. She's come a long way.

i did watch xo, kitty on Friday and it was actually really good, i was surprised! i liked both of the "to all the boys I've loved before" movies even if they were a little cheesy (my greatest flaw as a consumer of media is having little in the ways of taste when it comes to film and television lol), so i was expecting xo kitty to be similar

imo it was better, which was a great surprise! i thought the plot was fun and quirky, i loved kitty and seeing more of her as a character. im a slut for fake dating, but seeing it from the pov of someone outside of the relationship was a great twist (also the fake dating not being beneficial for both parts). i thought the soundtrack was well thought out, which i always love

i LOVED the exploration of kitty's realization of her feelings for Yuri and the fact that Dae wasn't what she wanted/needed any more. i thought Yuri was such a convincing, well thought out character, seeing her growth was a really fun journey. the side characters were fun to get to know without it feeling crowded, if that makes sense?

ooo, one of my faves, yay!!

1. What do you like the most about them? this one is tough because there's so much i like about robin. i love how witty she is, but her snarkiness is balanced out by her moments of being earnestly tender and caring for her friends. i think her gay little salute is one of my favorite quirks she has, idk, i just love it

2. What's their sexuality? lesbian, obviously. honestly, seeing her coming out scene meant so much to me. that she could be such an interesting, well written character who was loved and also be a lesbian meant a lot to me.

3. Otp ship: Ronance. I feel like robin and nancy just *fit* well together. i've seen post after post about how robin is everything jonathan and steve haven't been for nancy and i LOVE those posts, i go feral for them. however, i feel like nancy is really good for robin, too. she doesn't get put off by robin's "hyperness" the way other characters (even steve) have been and i think nancy is one of the few people in hawkins that robin could have a serious connection with. they're both so intelligent and caring and i really do think the two of them would make an excellent couple. also their chemistry together is off the fucking charts

4. Notp ship: any time she's shipped with a man. i don't get why people insist on doing that. also, it's not necessarily a notp for me, but i don't really get rockie. vickie would need to be really fleshed out well and not just a copy of robin in season five for me to be truly happy with them ending up together

5. Favourite friendship: Steve Harrington :) stobin is so special to me in a way i cannot quite describe. i love their energy and the way they play off one another. they remind me a lot of my relationship with my best friend or with my brother. idk, i just think they're neat.

6. Would you date them? yeah. robin has a certain kind of charm and also seems like the type of person i could have a conversation with, you feel? like, we could spend time together and it would still be enjoyable and interesting. (i answered these out of order, but question 13 goes more into this, too)

7. If you were them for a day what would you do? hopefully not be fighting monsters lol. i think if i were robin for a day, i'd probably want to hang out with steve. i know her characterization tends to be overshadowed by her relationship with steve (ppl like to boil her down to steve's best friend and leave it at that), which i hate, but i genuinely do love the dynamic steve and robin have. i love seeing strong, supportive platonic relationships that are the, like, anchor for both characters. it's very special to me.

8. If you could change something about them what would it be? i would give her more screen time. that's honestly it. i think robin is played very well in the show, i love the way she's written. the only thing i'd change would to have her be in the show even more.

9. How do you think they smell like? i feel like robin smells warm, if that makes sense? maybe smokey, whiskey, that type of thing? or old paper. idk, i haven't really thought about it lol

10. If you had the chance to ask them only one question what would it be? i would ask robin what she thinks about life, like, in general. i feel like she would have some really good wisdom to give.

11. Do you think you have something in common with them? other than being gay? she seems like a big reader. one of her biggest supporters in hs was her english teacher (i was lucky to have a pretty big system of friends, but i did spend a lot of lunches with my favorite teacher). my go to when i'm getting to know people is to be either really awkward or sarcastic and snarky.

12. Do you ever wanted to slap them? Why? when she was suggesting steve and nancy get back together. girl, that is not a good option for anyone. i feel like robin being the one to initiate that conversation was really weird. especially since (in my personal opinion) you shouldn't be pushing your bestie to get back with his ex. there's a reason they broke up, even if they've both changed, that doesn't mean they're suddenly right for each other.

13. What would you do if they kiss you? what if i plead the fifth on this one?? i would definitely kiss her back. the reason i started watching stranger things was because my mom said (pretty much word for word) "there's a gay character that comes in about half way through and she is exactly your type. she's smart and witty and just matches your vibe exactly. you're going to be obsessed." and my mom was SO RIGHT, big shout out to her for looking out for me lol

Oof, I don't think there's much I HAVEN'T said about Nevaeh or Esme.

I don't think I've mentioned that Nevaeh is a witch, a result of her birth mother also being a witch. She has perfect vision, the rarest blood type, and no allergies as a result of her biological father who is... something else. Ah... her first love was Jeremy, but she developed feelings for Damon while they were dating as she actually met and was spending time with him precanon. Her bestie forever and always is Caroline and there is nobody she cares about more who is not (biologically or legally) family. I always associate her with the color green because I associate her with nature and life. I know I talk about this too much, but the best way to learn about my ocs is Pinterest.

And Esme, I have never not said anything about Esme. I have said everything ever about Esme. Let's see... Esme is chaotic neutral and as I've always said, she is a product of her environment and those she was raised by. If she was raised by the Argents, she would be far more like Kate and Gerard. I associate her with red because I associate her with passion (often the kind that becomes dangerous), blood/violence, anger, and fire. She loves Lydia with all her being, although Allison undoubtedly means the most to her, but she is sleeping/dating Jackson behind her back. She and Stiles are basically all the types of love; twin flames, fateful soulmates, self-made soulmates, best friends to lovers, etc. Pinterest is here.

Sexuality: Esme is Bi!

Have they come out? If so, how? Esme never really came out because she never really felt the need to. She was just like “I kissed this girl” “I’m in love with this guy” and that was that!

How did their family/friends take it? Great! Her mom and step-dad have been honest about both being bi themselves so it was like if you were to come out as straight to your straight family. Scott was like “okay cool” and Stiles was like “same”. Chris didn’t even have a chance to take it any way, because it was basically “you like girls and boys?” “Yeah, you got a problem with that? I don’t give a fuck.” *walks away* (he didn’t have a problem with it). I feel like Victoria & Gerard would’ve been kind of assholes about it.

Do they go to Pride/With Whom? Esme has gone to Los Angeles Pride since she was a toddler. Like they only stayed for like an hour and walked in the parade when she was that age but they went. So she goes with her parents (Amira & Ludomir) from ages like 2-15, and then with the pack from then on.

Does she rep her colors (flag)? Not really! It’s another thing she doesn’t feel necessary, she’s very “this is my sexuality and it’s none of your business”
