“Ugh,” is the only word that serves to capture Shadow’s mood as he finishes up rubbing away at some of the rust that’s formed on Omega’s back; a spot the bulky robot definitely could not reach with the giant crab-claws that are supposed to be his ally’s hands. How does he do anything?

It’s not often they have to do work to keep rust and other gunk at bay on Omega’s exoskeleton-------- for once in his life Shadow is thankful for Robotnik technology, but... still. Throwing the rag on the floor, Shadow crosses arms across his chest and fixes Omega with a long, steely look. “Did I get it all?” Please let the answer be yes.

YOU KNOW WHAT? VALID. I don’t know. I’ve always felt weird about aliens being written into games at the last minute and I feel like ShTH was just kind of weird. At first I thought my issue was with the aliens thing overall but I’ve come to discover I don’t really like how it was HANDLED? So I decided to make my Shadow Black Arms but not have ShTH canon for that reason.

I think it’s because Sonic Battle exists and I think that is a perfectly fine explanation for why Shadow was created the way he was and stuff but then it’s like......... idk. Sonic Team pretends Battle didn’t happen and it bums me out. I stan Battle’s story and I cried at the end and ShTH just kind of made me cringe in every regard, even when I was like 10.
