feels like eons ago already but JSEK having esak be the stand-in for “whiny jack kirby fans who hate change” is still very funny to me... like i know i know he’s just the obvious choice for who to turn evil but esak was NOT having a good time in kirbys new gods. pretty sure after his FP introduction he does not have a single break until the 80s or 2000s well after other writers had done their thing to the series
