Her days at the Orphanage were peaceful.

Historia felt like a regular young woman when she would retreat to the farm for days or weeks at a time, opting to hide there rather than spend her time at the Capital. The halls there were cold and unwelcoming, whereas the chatter and shouts of the children bounced off the walls in the Orphanage. She preferred the company of the children and the freedom she had to forget her role temporarily.

She was sat on the floor, playing with two of the youngest children there. One was about three, a boy named Lucas, and the other, a girl named Hanna, was six years old. A knock at the door jarred her from their imaginary situation they were playing pretend, and she got to her feet. She brushed off her simple white dress as she crossed the room quickly, wondering who could possibly be on the other side.
