i had an idea so i decided to redesign the erotogender flag! i took some colors from one of the original flags because i liked it a little but it didnt completely click  with me personally.

i have two versions: a more complex design mainly for online use, edits, etc, and a second one if people want to add it in art or make merch, or whatever! and versions without the symbol.

color meanings:

yellow: for genders outside of the binary

orange: symbolizing change (ie; the change of your gender!)

red: desire felt during sexual situations, and/or feminine genders

purple: mix of genders/bigender/polygenders/etc!

blue: the gender felt when not in a sexual situation, and/or masculine genders

(white is there because i thought it’d look nice :])

well, there’s erotogender: a gender or genders that are felt specifically under sexual circumstances, felt specifically in sexual contexts, different to what is generally felt in other contexts and situations. A significant shift in gender/s during sexual situations or context. Someone who identifes as this may feel different gender/s in a sexual context compared to the rest of the time.

They may only experience dysphoria for the specific gender/s during sexual situations, or suddenly no longer experience dysphoria due to gender/s shift. The gender/s of the person’s sexual sense of self is significantly different to their usual gender/s. They may be different gender/s in their sexual fantasies, during sexual activity, or when they experience sexual attraction. It can be any gender or set of genders (culture specific genders are restricted to people of those cultures).

Blue is for fluidity, 

Purple is for sexuality (not as in “sexual orientation”, but as in “thing related to sex”), 

Red heart is for (sexual) desire.

Color meanings: 

Dark red represents conflict/struggle, since it’s hard to be erotogender in our society for a number of reasons;

Orange represents pride and conviction about being erotogender;

Light gray represents fluidity;

The pink heart represents erotism, sexual desire, sexuality, the act of being sexual, whatever else you want to call it.

I only had a chance to read this now (been busy moving).

I like the first one and the last one the best (though I think horizontal lines would work better). Maybe the hearts could have different colour variations depending on genders (erotogirl, erotoboy, erotononbinary, etc) and have the desire shade as the default erotogender umbrella (I just really like the name of that shade haha).

Though orange (as third flag) and yellow (possibly for erotononbinary) might clash. I like the use of darker colours though, as eroticism is also more “taboo”, “dark”, or a nighttime activity, so maybe those vs the usual baby pink/baby blue.

I made some other flags, and I want to know if that’s what you mean:

I think with those flags, darker colors don’t look too good. Except for, maybe, really dark colors, like the erotoagender one where I made the heart black.

(I think I kind of messed up the heart’s size here. Do you want it bigger?)

Is this what you had in mind? I used the desire shade for erotogender, and used darker hues in general. Except I don’t think it would be a problem to use a light yellow for erotononbinary/erotoenby.

I also went ahead and “solved” the possible problem of making an erotomaverique flag when yellow is already taken and there are two colors close to orange. :P
