I am of the opinion that unfinished basements are good places. Quiet, liminal spacey but in a welcoming way, bare wood ceilings and cool cement floors. Rumbling warm clothes dryer. Funky little pull-strings on open light bulbs. Boxes of old stuff from old relatives long passed. it's the spooky old attic for houses without attics. idk if this is a specific experience or not? idk. its a good place to me.

we have a problem houston, I was watching tiktoks on tumblr at 1:30am, as you do, and i was using some bluetooth earbuds (they came with the laptop that I needed for school, i know, I’m sorry) but I hear my mom coming out of the shower, panic, and closet the laptop. But when I close the laptop, the earbuds disconnect. and when I open the laptop. The music plays. So now I’m trying to figure out how to watch the rest of the gddam penguin video without having frank sinnatra’s pennies from heaven blast through the house and alert my mother of my awakeness. Wired earbud swag really is superior huh.
