Layton Series Pokemon AU Starter Pokemon (+ other Team headcanons)
Part one: Protagonists
-The Professor has a Lucario. She's smart and adventurous and a pretty good fighter although they have never trained for competitions (her training comes from avoiding death traps and going on adventures) . She also picked up one or the other thing about puzzle-solving.
(He also took in Claire's Fletchinder after her death)
- Emmy's partner is a Mienshao. Their bond comes from training together for years. In combat Emmy's signature kicks and Mienshao's whip attack make it very difficult for opponents to keep their balance.
-Luke doesn't have a Pokemon yet but will befriend every Pokemon he comes across. Post unwound future he has a Pikipek (he doesn't catch it but it still stays with him and follows him around) When he eventually does get a starter he chooses Piplup. After all Misthallery has a long history with water pokemon.
- Kat specializes in sweets themed Pokemon! She has an Alcremie, a Slurpuff and a Vanillish. She still has the biggest appetite out of all of them.
-Ernest has a Sinistea. (The Pokemon absolutely *loves* Alcremie and considers her her best friend)

-Al has a Snubbull, since these Pokemon are the standard partners for police who didn't have a Pokemon partner before they joined. They start of hating each other but eventually end up inseparable.
-Lucys Starter is a Smeargle but she also has a Snubbull (the first attempt at pairing Al with a Pokemon partner which did *not* go well).
