Not the same but I do carry around my hairbrush always always always and if I leave it at home I feel lost without it because when was 12 someone said I needed to brush my hair and 11 years later it’s with me wherever I go.

yelp might help but a lot of the time artists move shop to shop. trustworthy referrals are best but walking into a shop, checking out the atmosphere (is it clean? is it sketchy?), &then looking through the artists’ portfolios works too

i think my favorite thing this show has ever done was bookend that episode with skyler and walt's phone calls. the first one is pretty straightforward: walt isn't used to lying to her yet and has to practice before the call, and she doesn't know enough yet to be suspicious of him so they breeze through walt's lie. he still honestly believes that this will be a one-time thing--that he'll make enough money to cover his family when he's gone and nothing more will come of it. they still have genuine affection for each other.

the last phone call though, oh man. it's such a complicated, layered scene. so here's walt--who is too smart not to know that the phone is tapped and the police are listening to/recording the call--absolving skyler of any ties to his crimes and simultaneously giving flynn a reason for why she didn't tell him that she knew. but at the same time there's an honesty to his speech; when he tells her that she should've just minded her own business and trusted him to handle all of this, he means that shit. and bryan cranston's face during that scene is probably my favorite acting that he did in the entire series (lol never ask me about the last five minutes of crawl space). his expression is so nuanced, and it's almost easy to feel sorry for walt because he so clearly knows that he will never see his family again. but you can't feel sorry for him because it's too late. this is the first thing he genuinely does for his family, and it's too. late. it's also the first time walt is realizing the extent of the damage his actions caused his family--which is tragic and infuriating and heartbreaking, but also (yup) too late.

and SKYLER. she is relieved that it's finally over and desperate to get holly back unharmed, but she probably also feels remorse for the role that she played in letting things get so out of hand. if she had gone to the police when this all started it would've been bad, but hank would still be alive and marie would still be on her side. flynn would've been heartbroken, but he never would've had to see her pull a knife on his father. but it's too late for her too.
