It took me a little longer than I'd thought it would, but the viewer requested Eridan/Feferi shipbeast, the Eriferiathan ( or Feferiathan for those who prefer) is finally finished! I apologize for the long wait, but I've had school business to work out. If the far right side of the picture looks a little wonky, that would be because it is. It got messed up in the inking process, and well, let's just say it was trickier to get those ripples looking decent than I thought going into this. Still, I'm happy how the water turned out. Barring any further requests, the next shipbeast should either be Clockwork Orange (Dave/Dirk) or Iron Maiden (Aradia/Equius).
======================
The mighty Eriferiathan is a fearsome sea serpent that lurks within the sea outside of Tick-Tock Town. Spanning several hundred feet from head to head, the beast is carnivorous and is an infamous threat to Town fisherman and boaters. The two heads have separate brains, so the two have to work in unison in order to preform daily functions like swimming and hunting. While the serpent's age has allowed the heads to predict each other's movements incredibly well, the occasional disconnect has kept the Eriferiathan's body count only about half as high as it could be.
That the two heads are capable of cooperating at all is quite miraculous, since the heads themselves have very different personalities. Surviving witnesses report that the "seahorse head" is the more violent head, and tends to be the head that actually attacks its prey. By comparison, the "octopus head" is a calmer, more passive entity that stays out of the fight until the end. Interestingly, the octopus head is what seems to call off the attack, as the seahorse head will simply rampage until the octopus head motions or calls out to it. At that point, the two will share any spoils of the brawl between them and move on. Despite being the more vicious head, the seahorse head has been seen as the more somber head, since it seems to just let the other lead in swimming around, only taking charge in a fight.Â
Aside from its dual heads, the Eriferiathan's other notable features are a pure glass horn on the seahorse head, used to impale many a shipping vessel, and the near-impenetrable scales that line every inch of the behemoth's body. Impervious to sword, spear, anchor, and even laser weaponry, individual scales are as large as a man at their smallest but have proven to be a valuable treasure for anyone who can acquire one. Unfortunately, this has also sparked numerous disastrous voyages into the sea to find the Eriferiathan and capture several scales to bring back home.
Among them is the serpent's self-proclaimed arch-nemesis, a wealthy sea-hunter and aristocrat nicknamed "Ahab Ampora" by former shipmates. Ampora's vendetta against the Eriferiathan is well-known, and he has made several unsuccessful attempts to bring the beast down. When asked why he held such rage against the creature, he simply said the reason was "unimportant" and that he "vwouldn't rest until that wvile monstrosity's head was blown off, bronzed, and hangin above [his] fireplace", never specifying which head he meant. Additionally, he seemed to ignore the fact that the Eriferiathan's heads are several feet in diameter, likely weigh several hundred pounds, and are generally poor choices for mantle decoration.
So EriFeri feels.Â
LIKE YOU KNOW WHEN A SHIP IS SO PERFECT THAT YOU WANT A FUCKIN BOOK ON EVERY MOMENT OF THEIR LIVES-- AND YOU WANT THEM TO FUCK REALLY REALLY HARD-- AND ONE OF THEM HAS TO DIE FOR THE SAKE OF FUCKIN ANGST AND SADISTIC ENJOYMENT-- AND YOU EXPLODE ON THE INSIDE CAUSE EVERYTHING FUCKING HURTS AND YOUR HEART POUNDS AND IF YOU DON'T GET WHAT YOU WANT NOW YOU WILL BANG YOUR HEAD INTO THE WALL OVER AND OVER--

I AM DONE.

Whoever was the anon that requested a Eridan â„ Feferi shipbeast, I got it nice and clear but I've accidentally deleted the message. It sounds like a great idea, and once the current shipbeast I'm working on is done it should be next up.
Here it goes, anon! :D
Human-shy
Summary: When Vriska decides to meddle with the highblooded troll who's been visiting Feferi, she stumbles upon his estranged matesprit and their vicious wriggler. A harmless plot quickly escalates into a convoluted circle of confused relationships as she pushes too far into her new adversary's turf. (Petstuck)
Pairings: Vriska/Tavros, Eridan/Feferi, Eridan/Tavros, Eridan/Vriska, hinted Tavros/Gamzee
CHAPTER 1 (Rated T)
âHeâs back,â Kanaya announced, gazing out the window. Vriska jumped onto the table next to her and looked outside. Sure enough, the violet-blooded troll was climbing up the tree in the front yard.
âWhatâs his deal?â she growled as he took his perch. âHe comes here three times a week to stare at Feferi, and then he disappears without a word. If he likes her so much, why doesnât he try talking to her like a normal person?â
âPerhaps heâs human-shy,â Kanaya suggested. âIt would make sense. Thereâs no other way a troll of his breeding could remain a stray.â
âHow do you know heâs a stray?â
âLook at his clothes.â
âMaybe his humans have a shitty fashion sense.â
Kanaya wrinkled her nose. âA human that can afford a violet blood should have more sense than to clothe him in secondhand childrenâs rags.â
âHumans are stupid,â Vriska replied, shrugging.
âRose isnât stupid,â Kanaya retorted. âAnd, well...I suppose John isnât, either.â
âYes he is. You just havenât known him long enough.â
âActually, I find that the longer Iâm here the less stupid he seems to be. He can be rather clever in his own way.â
âWell, once youâve been part of the Egbert family as long as I have, youâll stop doubting the stupidity of humans. Trust me.â
âWeâll see.â
