[If I ever want to set foot outside of this station again, I will.] Audrey continued as her own voice was projected out of a little speaker in her collar without moving her lips or jaw. Sheâs back to her stance to be âat attentionâ to her mentor. If one were to look closely, her back had straightened out when hearing approval. Getting through the day was easier if she had sought the approval of The Watcher instead of just avoiding Jackâs temper. Despite her need to hide any evidence of it, Audrey sought out praise whenever possible. Itâs something to be expected give the way sheâs been essentially raised.Â
[I will have to deliver then.] This Watcher was considered a much of a warden as Wilhelm could be. They had their polite talks like coworkers, but there was a clear incentive for the enforcer (or the eridian) to keep an eye on Audreyâs progress and keep her in line. This training was to keep Audrey busy enough to not make progress in other projects like an escape plan. That and if Jackâs ranting and raving to her for hours said anything, it was that he wanted Audrey involved with his plans to âfixâ Pandora. She was as strong as a whole battalion of Hyperionâs best and if the doctors are right, a possible catalyst for charging the vault key. So the options became a living weapon, or a living battery.
