“13″ by Denzel Curry

In many ways, Denzel Curry is the heart of this underground rap scene. As the first to really pop, and sustain that level of success, from the burgeoning Florida rap movement, you could say he set the stage for artists like Lil Pump, Xxxtentacion, Pouya, etc, to have the kind of careers they’re having right now. Even just a quick glance at the “13″ tracklist shows his influence on the game, with collabs with Lil Ugly Mane, Eric Dingus, and Ronny J, three artists that represent different pillars in the Soundcloud community, that being three 6 style trap, cloud rap, & distorted 808 trap, respectively. It really can’t be understated what Curry’s brought to the game, and with Florida rappers running shit like they are right now, that should be abundantly clear.
