akito has kicked hatori and kureno out about 10 times, with me moving them back in each time and them getting promptly kicked out again right after. akito also refuses to stay put and repeatedly moves out of the main house

the moment i moved kazuma into his own house, he adopted a pet cat named “jake sohma”. 

haru seems to have disappeared from the town altogether, i havent seen him since moving him in

hatori and kagura have gotten together and had a baby, against my wishes i swear

lil bling has invaded the entire sohma household and tohrus entire friend group and is cheating on arisa with hana (again this is all against my will)

i had machi throw a little party for the student council members, but kakeru got stuck in her apartment elevator for too long and then proceeded to diss the party and say he was leaving before coming upstairs and eating the pumpkin pie he didn’t make

akito absolutely refuses to come over to shigures house

kyo and tohru are caught in an endless cycle of flirting and arguing whenever they arent my active household (they aren’t dating or romantic interests atm). i had machi go over there to see yuki, and i watched kyo and tohru the whole time repeatedly try to give the other flowers and rejecting each other repeatedly

tohru is still a cutie

on the first day of school, i made tohru try to meet new friends so that i could introduce her to the sohma family slowly. however, her first acquaintance turned out to be a young man named “lil bling”

i didn’t think much of lil bling, but he started to communicate with more and more of the Sohmas, and it seems like all my teen sims know him. then he started getting a bit too cozy with arisa, and then

he started dating her... this breaks my goal of having everyone end up in their canon relationships, but since i can’t have her do that yet anyways i’m letting it rest... but then... it crossed the line...

there isn’t much more atm bc I have lots of homework to do first! but, if i have time tonight once i’m done my work, I will play it some more and update you <3 the reception on my sims basket posts are so funny so far, thank you for the responses haha!! I’ll share some pictures I took below, though!

I forgot to say, but Kureno is obsessed with using Hatori’s computer. (This is prior to him moving out a hundred times against my best wishes!) Hatori just sits and reads in the corner while Kureno plays video games all day...

it’s a bad pic but this is from when Machi invited the student council over and everyone was really rude, especially kakeru who called the party trash bc HE got stuck in the elevator, and then he still proceeded to line up for pumpkin pie. I’ll fight him. (Kakeru is in the back, Nao is picking up the piece of pie, and Kimi is in the background washing dishes lol)

I am very unfamiliar with cosmic horror as a genre but I was very impressed by the scope of the game and how the theme was rooted into the reality of the people in the places you traverse. I can’t say I understand the story in a straightforward sense, especially since dreams are involved and dreams of others for that matter. And dreams are treated as sometimes shared dimensions that can shape reality in the waking world as well, which is a believable concept in my opinion. I am more interested in the relationship between people and their beliefs than monsters or great ones per se, and I think the game gave me plenty of insight into that. Can I also say that I found the insight mechanics extremely fascinating? I want to understand how they work better and I also need to replay the game since I probably missed a lot of details. But I found my experience in being blind very enjoyable and as unsettling as it was meant to be.

A very cool choice that the creators made for the aesthetics of Bloodborne has been a great surprise and I can’t thank them enough for it: whoever described this game as “victorian era” or “gothic horror” wasn’t very accurate or rather was just once again speaking from an anglocentric perspective. I mean we are still talking about Europe here, but most places in Bloodborne reminded me more of cities you find in central Europe like in the Czech Republic or in Poland. A little more refreshing to me than if it were another reiteration of the British landscape in a horror. And the design of the creatures was truly remarkable. This is a game where talking about Berserk references makes sense but in such interesting and transformative ways. Like the Doll said I did find the messengers so very cute and that was my favorite design in Berserk! Glad they made them into a thing in Bloodborne.
