#equal in value

I don’t believe God made men superior to women in any way. The Bible teaches that men and women are created equal in value and dignity — both made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). We are created differently, with different roles and strengths, but that doesn’t mean one is better than the other.

Physically, men and women are designed differently — men are generally stronger, but women are uniquely equipped for things men are not, like pregnancy and nurturing life. Mentally and emotionally, both men and women have strengths and weaknesses, and both are capable of great wisdom, courage, and compassion.

In Christ, there is no hierarchy of value between male and female (Galatians 3:28). God uses both men and women powerfully for His kingdom. So rather than comparing superiority, I believe God designed us to complement and support each other in love and humility.

Say what? Those last two words in the title are rather strange! They are Hebrew words. They are the words used in Genesis 3 to describe Eve; they are also the words God used in reference to Himself.
