Epiphora albida

A moth of the Ephiphora genus, this Sub-Suharan Africa species is known for its brown and white coloration with crescent, sometimes heart shaped, markings. Similar to others in its genus, it bares the snake head upper wing pattern for protection from predators. Its lower wings are mostly white with brown and purplish red trimming, while upper are primarily brown with purple and red scattered along white markings. They, along with other moths from their genus, are occasionally called white ringed atlas moths.
