#epic dinner

Hey Tumblrers :D

So, today was a pretty fantastic day! Tim got to come home between classes to have lunch with me. (Btw hot dog stuffed crust pizza is delicious and disgusting at the same time :P). Then my parents picked me up at 6ish to go for supper at The Prune, which is where the Chefs School does its dinners. It was pretty amazing. Even the risotto was good and it had onions in it, which are pretty much the bane of my existence. In case you are curious, or want to have something to be jealous about - this was the menu:

Course 1 - Braised Baby Leeks with a Crispy Poached Egg (Still not a big fan of leeks, but the egg was flipping amazing!)

Course 2 - Wild Mushroom Risotto (As I said - shockingly delicious).

Course 3 - Roasted Sablefish with Mussels and Chorizo Basquaise (Hated the veggies and sauce under the fish, but the mussels were pretty good and the fish was great).

Course 4 - Olive Oil Financier and Brown Butter Ice Cream with Elderberry Compote (Oh. My. Gosh. I cannot express how wonderfully fantastic that dessert was...)

And, of course most importantly - Timmy was the Maitre'd :D. He looked so cute in his new red shirt and tie :).

I didn't sleep last night, so I was exhausted. She suggested that I go sleep out on her couch, so I did. I just woke up from my nap to find grilled cheese already next to me. My friend had made dinner for me :3
