❛ of course i would've! ❜ there was no doubt in her mind about that. regardless if she liked to admit it or not, there would always be some special invisible string tying the two together in some way or another. ❛ you and i both know. you don't need to ask such a thing, alice. ❜ didn't she? gladys knew she wasn't exactly an open book or predictable at times, so maybe she did need to ask.

although sarah is fond of every member of the bellweather unit ( and of course anacostia ), she is glad when tally agreed to sit down a bit further away from them, having at least a little bit of privacy. with her back resting against the tree, tally sitting between her legs with her back against her chest, the dark haired witch began carding her fingers through the red strands, gently twisting them without really braiding them. one arm is securely wrapped around the other. her gaze is set on the campfire in the distance  —  it feels like the right time.    “ i wish my sister could be here right now, ”    sarah murmurs. it is so very rare for her to talk about abigail, not even ana knows much about her. the pain has always been too great but right now, she feels like sharing some of it with tally is long overdue.    “ she would adore you, oh, she would love you so much. sometimes, you remind me of her, she was so gentle. she was so good. and i know that she would be grateful that you are by my side. ”    if only there was a chance to let her sister know that she is alright, that tally must have been her gift from the mother herself. if only she could be here, just for one day.

reading through some files, she softly begins to hum the melody of a song that’s been stuck in her head all day. on top of that, she keeps tapping the end of her pen to the tip of her nose without even realizing. this is the look of a woman deeply lost in her work; and also a woman who feels comfortable where she is right now. oh, but soon enough, she is pulled out of her thoughts again.    “ it’s cute, this thing you’re doing. “    laura ( @envyrid​ ) comments much to carol’s surprise. looking up, confusion all over her face, carol tilts her head to the side.    “ what thing? what am i doing? ”    cute is not exactly a term that’s used often when it comes to her. so what would she be referring to now?

Carol is used to dealing with all kinds of parents: overbearing ones, ignorant ones, normal ones, weird ones, everything in between. On most days, she would put Laura in the 'normal' category. Not overly concerned but still caring enough. Some days, however, when work is already exhausting enough, she creates a whole new category for the parents that are unfortunate enough to interact with her: the cause of headaches. "You know, the Earth revolves around the sun, not around you." Laura ( @envyrid ) challenges her and Carol has to surpress a groan. "Thank you for enlightening me. It is also very comforting to know that school has not failed to teach you some common knowledge." The smile she offers is nothing but petty while she tilts her head a little, folding her hands in front of her. "This gives me hope for Charlie."

mae has been known to be many things over the centuries; subtle, however, is not one of those things. secretive, sure, but she has never seen the point in being subtle about the thoughts and actions she wishes to share. eyes continuously drift towards the other woman’s lips as she not so lazily plays with a few strands of shining hair. her intention is very clear but maerose has yet to voice her thoughts. in time, she thinks, let me enjoy this game a little longer. but it seems like the vampire has other ideas.    “ if you want me to kiss you, all you have to do is ask. “    melanie ( @envyrid​ ) dares her and that is all it takes for the witch to change her mind. games can wait. leaning in, close enough so her breath ghosts over smooth skin, she quietly says,    “ well then, ms. atwood, may i kiss you? ”

lightly scoffing, gladys rolled her eyes — head moving in the same way as a result ❛ yeah, okay, keep tellin' yourself that smith. ❜ she muttered in response but she knew alice wasn't lying in the slightest. she wasn't going to admit alice was right to her face, mind you. ❛ i'm pretty sure you've stolen more than that, especially as a teenager in the serpents 'n' all. ❜ a beat. ❛ i know i did. ❜
