1. Start a garden! Even if it’s only a small one.You’ll probably save some money on food, eat healtheir, and find that it’s quite calming. Here are some resources to get you started:

2. If you're capable and have the time and resources, learn a new language! Solar punk is all about cooperative living and appreciating other cultures, allowing them to thrive. Learning another language is a good, non-appropriative way to show that you respect other cultures and ways of life, and you are willing to invest time to show that.
3. Create! Draw, paint, write, make music. The world needs your art.
4. Educate yourself about social justice issues, about other cultures, about racism and sexism. Make the changes to your lifestyle that are neseccary to support those affected. Here are some great sites to get started:

4. Avoid fast fashion. Shop at thrift shops, swap used clothes with your friends and donate the rest, learn to do small reparis, and (if possible) try to buy from sustainable companies when you do buy new clothes.
5. Again, I recognize that not everyone has the resources and time to do this, but learning to code is very solar punk :) Coding and technology can help make the world a better place for everyone, and there are lots of free online resources that can help you learn to code without ever having to pay for a course. Visit this site for a list of free resources - or do your own google search! Khan Academy is a great place to start.
6. If you can, bike more, drive less!
7. Compost, recycle, use energy efficient light bulbs and try to make your home as energy efficient as possible. We can't all put solar panels on the roof, but we can all cut back on our waste. Check out a great article here
