He was in her apartment, slithering from the shadows in the dark. No doubt she knew that he was there, but he had no reason to fear her. Not with power secretly coursing through his veins once more. "How does it feel, righteous spider, knowing that you were fighting for the wrong side all along?" he asked silkily, grinning with malice. "Watching events unfold was more entertaining than even I had thought possible, I admit. And gracefully done, on your part. I'm impressed."
“One of these days I’m going to end up shooting you and I will not be sorry.” She glanced up from the book she was reading and stared at him. He would always be a sight for sore eyes, but he troubled her. He was her demon of sorts, the thorn in her side. “You knew on the Helicarrier didn’t you?” The book was closed and set aside. “How does it feel? Well short explanation I’m pissed, longer one I’m fucking pissed.” She stood from the chair she had been in and moved towards the kitchen. “I’m so glad you’re impressed. Want something to drink?” Her fingers instantly itched for a bottle that was no longer tucked into a hiding place as she opened the fridge which was now stocked like a fridge should be.
