Longing for the endless expanse… the kind that moves along with nary a word to steer your mind…where sounds are the only aural guide...

This is OLLE KO & this is “I’ll Say No.”

The Los Angeles based project of Daniel Koontz (ex-Flaamingos) creates soundscapes that evolve in real time while revolving around a palette of synthetic melodies, hypnotic drones, & warbled guitar.

Olle Kö represents an artist in transition, experimenting with new textures while retaining the colder elements of its past while looking toward a synth-driven dystopia.

While all four of the song that make up Olle Kö’s debut EP ‘Fulcrum’ are gems, it’s the head-bobbing closer that’ll be the most familiar to the brain. “I’ll Say No” purrs with a steady synth hum & finds the dance ready BPM kicked up a few while adorned with skeletal guitars.

Salvaged from the Flaamingos’ era, “I’ll Say No” plays out like minimalists wet-dream as the layers add up over time in a subtle manner while pushing towards a brittle build.
