his  task  used  to  be  so  simple  :  one  flip  of  the  dial,    and  he  could  once  again  freely  descend  into  the  fetters  of  his  onus,    feathers  black  as  tar,    one  after  the  other  &.    all  at  once.    at  least  he  would  have  no  questions  upon  his  return.    but  sophie  would  be  the  death  of  that  leisure.    ❛  sorry,    s̲o̲p̲h̲i̲e̲.    ❜   he  drew  his  fingers  away  from  the  dial,    having  not  yet  shifted  it  from  the  turns  of  porthaven  to  his  smokier,    d̲e̲p̲r̲a̲v̲e̲d̲  world.    ❛  but  no  one  can  come  with  me.    ❜    in  one  smooth  motion,    he  turned  to  face  her,    shifting  his  body  strategically  in  front  of  the  dial  so  that  she  wouldn't  be  able  to  reach  it  even  if  she  tried.    not  that  her  effort  would  come  to  much  avail.    calcifer  only  listened  to  him  when  it  came  to  that  door.    ❛  d̲o̲n̲'̲t̲ ̲ ̲w̲o̲r̲r̲y̲ ̲ ̲a̲b̲o̲u̲t̲ ̲ ̲m̲e̲.    i'll  be  back  in  no  time.    ❜

                ❛   𝐈𝐒 𝐅𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐘?     or is Fry more annoying lately?   I usually want to roll my eyes 30% of the time he talks, but now it’s moved up to a solid 50!  ❜  ‘ Leela - you like him. ‘     she knew the answer but she was still in denial.     how could she like Fry?   FRY LIKED HER    and she rejected him.       That’s just how it worked. They were just too different, or so she thought.    The Lars incident had opened her eyes.    She had truly loved Lars,   and he was Fry after all.      Fry was romantic, sweet and only ever saw the good in her.       EYE and all.  A deep sigh escaped her lips before she remembered she was in public.   ❛    any advice?  I mean given the fact your whole personality was guys.     thought you would know.   ❜     a tease.   purely made as a joke and with no ill intentions warranted.     still,     if she heard Bender and Fry make those cat noises once more.         

        he  only  needed  a  minute,  some  fresh  air  at  the  most.  it’s  difficult  to  discern  what  got  under  his  skin  at  that  moment.  perhaps  the  negligence  of  the  people  in  their  makeshift  clinic,  waiting  until  the  last  possible  moment  to  bring  their  KID  in.  but  maybe,  that  was  it,  it  was  a  kid.  he  shakes  his  head,  exhaling  quick  and  hard,  “ i’m  good. ”  a  lie,  flat  on,  and  easy  to  call  out  due  to  the  clenching  white  knuckles  he’s  bearing.  god,  he  wants  to  hit  something.  but  another  time,  another  place.  “ some  people, you  know ?  even  now  you’d  think  . . .  but  same  bullshit  still  plays  out. ”
