Married!Neuller Headcanons – Part II (immediate continuation of this)
Or, another (probably futile) attempt of mine to keep this ship alive at all costs. This time, my partner in crime was @enlightenedcat ♥ thank you for this fun conversation!
Beware: FLUFF (like, an unhealthy amount of it)
Thomas referring Manu as his husband half out of the love he has for him, and half on purpose because he knows it always makes Manu smile/to tease him
At some kind of function: "Have you met my husband?" – "My husband said ..." – "No no, I'm not here on my own, my husband's just over there"
At one point Manu just drags him into a corner, still grinning but also hissing "Can you, like, stop?! People must think I'm daft by now, because I keep grinning like an idiot!" and Thomas (that asshole) probably just laughs and says "But you're just so cute, babe!"
Their teammates must think that it's absolutely disgustingly cute but they all love seeing Manu slightly riled up, so they would try to bring up situations where Thomas could call Manu husband just to irritate him
Though they are professionals so it wouldn’t interfere with their games
But still they’d occasionally ask Thomas where his husband is, or randomly shouting “Your hubby is here!” in Thomas’ direction whenever Manu’d enter the room – the latter would just be annoyed at the idiots that he calls his teammates (and that he married the biggest idiot of them all)
They like to tease Thomas, too "Hey Thomas, that’s the wrong goal you’re staring at!” – "Yeah, one day you'll start scoring own goals because you're so focused on him!"
Thomas usually just laughs and blows kisses back in Manu's direction – who’s usually acting embarrassed and/or annoyed, but sometimes he humors him and 'catches' them, like he would with a ball (maybe forming a heart with his hands)
Also it probably wouldn't be long until the public caught wind of it, since a marriage's sorta difficult to hide (but they also knew that, and like, maybe the media have been speculating for a while so it's not that much of a surprise) so we could probably hope for some tame but sweet victory kisses
Like, Thomas just immediately strutting towards Manu's goal after a particularly good game, saying something like "well played, hot stuff" then immediately grabbing him by his shirt and planting a kiss full on his lips
Or, FCBayern/Die Mannschaft instagram posts of their clasped hands after they win a title, captioning it with 'Love Wins’
Or Thomas scoring a really important goal in the dying minutes of a game and Manu (who's usually pretty tame with the celebrations, as we all know) yelling out "That's my husband" – "Yeah go babe" from the other side of the pitch
He’d probably be slightly embarrassed afterwards though, because did he really just shout that through half the stadium? (Oops)
Speaking of, Thomas dedicating a goal to Manu by blowing a kiss in his direction, or like, mouthing 'I love you' and then pointing at him
Again, Manu would act slightly embarrassed about it on the field cause everyone will have seen, but he secretly really loves it because it means that, even when Thomas is at his happiest scoring goals, he's still thinking about him
