Sweet, tiny Boots had his checkup with Dr. A. He finally showed his fiery Chihuahua side. He's not a fan of being messed with. I totally get it though, at 18 years old I wouldn't want to be either! Poor boy has a grade 3 heart murmur on the left side. We will use medications if needed in the future. We thought he had a herniated rectum but it turns out he has a very enlarged benign prostrate. Another important reason to neuter your pets. At this point with his age there is not much we can do other than keep him comfortable. We have added a pain managment routine for him and most likely will add Adequan injections. He's a spunky little guy, awfully rickety and quite a bit of dememtia. That does not stop him from going in and out following his friends all day. In his younger years I am quite sure he was the life of the party!
