to every student who cried after their JEE result
hey. sit down for a second.
i need to tell you something nobody told me when i was in your position.
not cracking JEE Main does not end your story.
i know it feels like it does. i know you've been staring at that scorecard like it holds your entire future in it.
it doesn't.
most students don't know this —
there are dozens of genuinely good engineering colleges in India that don't ask for JEE Main at all.
not "random unknown colleges."
actual AICTE-approved, placement-proven universities with real companies hiring from their campuses.
here's what actually matters right now:
→ VIT, SRM, Manipal, KIIT, Amity — all have their own entrance exams
→ states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal have their own engineering entrances (MHT-CET, KCET, WBJEE) that are completely separate from JEE
→ some universities admit you directly on 12th board percentage
→ scholarships exist. fees are negotiable. options are real.
this mistake can affect your career though —
waiting.
students spend weeks in shock, miss application deadlines, and then panic-apply to whatever's left.
don't do that to yourself.
the good seats at good colleges fill up fast — even for non-JEE admissions.
here's what i'd tell my younger self:
your entrance exam score is one door.
when it closes, look left. look right. there are other doors — and some of them lead somewhere just as good, maybe even better.
what matters is the branch you choose, the skills you build, and the internships you chase.
not just the gate you walked through.
i found this guide that honestly lays it all out — colleges, fees, admission timelines, everything — without the fluff:

reblog this for the student in your feed who needs to hear it right now.

ight not say it — but they're probably spiraling.
and sometimes one post is all it takes to remind someone: you still have options. you still have time.
