Position Overview

The Large C&I Project Manager will work on projects alongside the Mechanical Project Development Engineer and team.  This position will encompass all aspects of engineering, building and servicing for Large C&I Energy Conservation Projects.  The Large C&I Project Manager will be partly responsible for account management functions and will take part in assuring retention of Comprehensive Energy Solutions customers.

Responsibilities

Enhance our customer relationships throughout the entire business development process.

Continually enhance customer relationships during the implementation portion of the construction process. 

Act as liaison between corporate staff, local facility staff and our regional team members.

Manage various construction timelines.

Interface with the corporate contacts. 

Work with our existing Project Development staff to immediately start designing and building VFD projects, Demand Ventilation Controls projects, ECM motor replacement projects, HVAC controls projects and various other mechanical controls projects within our existing customer base.

Collect utility bills and drawings.

Audit and design quality assurance.

Actively participate in joint sales presentations.

Continuous improvement on our construction management process.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Business or a related field

At least 10 years of work experience in Project Management, Engineering, Sales or a related field

Past experience and an up-to-date knowledge of best practices as they relate to energy efficient projects

Travel to projects locally and nationwide

Financial planning and budget experience with the ability to develop a business case

Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills

The Energy Engineer position will focus on the auditing and design of multi-measure engineering projects.  Typical projects will include:  Variable Frequency Drives, Demand Ventilation, Replacement of RTU’s, new BMS’s, New Premium Efficiency Motors, New Chillers, New Boilers, Heat Recovery Projects and various other ECM’s.

Responsibilities

Performing multi-measure, on-site, energy efficiency audits.

Based off of information gained during on-site audit, recommend energy-efficiency measures.

Completing Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) energy calculations and savings projections.

Developing ECM savings calculation templates.

Responsible for Utility incentive calculations and development applicable savings verification plan.

Co-present audit/design findings to Customer along with Project Development Staff.

Work with product suppliers and manufacturers to continue learning new products and solutions that can be incorporated into energy efficiency projects.

Work with our Project Management team throughout the projects life-cycle to assure that the implementation of project’s are installed as originally designed.

Provide technical support for our Project Development team during on-site customer meetings and conference calls.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering.

Strong knowledge base of energy efficiency methodology.

Experience working with Utility Sponsored Energy-Efficiency Rebates.

Strong written and oral communication skills for customer interaction and report writing.

10+ years experience in a Energy or Mechanical engineering position.

Job experience working on energy efficiency construction projects in commercial and industrial facilities.

Expert in developing excel based energy modeling on mechanical and electrical systems.

Computer Skills

Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and familiarity with AutoCAD.
