...if anything will save us during these times of upheavals - social, economic, ecological, and so on - it will be our relationships and the quality and strength thereof. "Rugged individualism" is and has always been a lie of the dominator culture for the few to subdue the many... otherwise 8 people (EIGHT PEOPLE) could have never amassed the wealth equivalent to that of 4 billion people (FOUR BILLION PEOPLE) without our consent (willing or not, witting our not). They needed isolated individuals with no ready means of support from their group to herd us like so much cattle. And moreover, they needed those individuals to believe deep in their hearts that they didn't actually need anybody else...and that struggling alone is a mark of adulthood and self-sufficiency. LIES. ALL LIES. We NEED one another. We always have. We always will. Find your tribe, your folks, your people...form communities with each other dedicated to your mutual uplift and prosperity in harmony with the environment in which we live and on which we depend. As this economy, civilization, and the ecology are collapsing, our only job will be adapting to the changing environment & taking care of one another. We must stop abdicating our real life response-ability for taking care of each other and the Earth to these liars and thieves and murderers and sociopaths calling themselves 'government.' They 'bout to govern us right to human extinction. Not just the US, all of them and all under the aegis of Capitalism. Capitalism is a rogue and deadly ideology. We must turn aways from it and turn towards each other. Come together. Re-unite. Abandon this way of seeing ourselves as separate - separate from each other and separate from the Earth. I had a lot of feelings this day. It led from 20+ years of fandom life to this insanely well-earned STAR. These boys (1) knocked my flat on my back. I could (2) almost kiss the stars for shining so bright (especially since it was just installed and was super clean).
