When The Last by Hanna Jameson came out last year I thought it was an interesting premise. What happens to a group of people at an isolated European hotel when nuclear Armageddon starts. And someone finds a body and wonders if the killer is still with the group. Lots of interesting observations about people here. Did not care for the parts that veered into the political but luckily there were only a few. You wonder how you would react - what’s important now - what is my purpose. There are some plodding moments but also some tension filled, adrenaline-fueled ones. “Where’s the body we left here? What’s that noise? Dead body soup...” There’s a bit of a surprise ending. A good option if you’re looking for more end-of-the-world stories. One big issue l have with the cover. In the book the hotel has nine stories. Only three shown on the cover picture. Let’s be accurate people 🤔🤣 #thelast #hannajameson #nucleararmageddon #endoftheworldlit #bookstagram #bookshelves #bookswithcharacter #bookhoarder #bookworm #sodacityreads #bookreview #hardcover #bookcollector #bookhaul #bookspines #goodreads #homelibrary #fiction #crimefiction #thriller #bookcollection (at Ballentine, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_aNufAg3dG/?igshid=s3agwgo9cw3j
