                     “Playin’ some serious odds, don’tcha think?.”

“ Is that...? ”  A breathy laugh tumbles from her lips. It’s an outdated tradition―one that Hartley is more than willing to overlook, especially since no one else seems to be paying them any attention anyway, but as she turns to face him, she can practically feel herself melting under his gaze.  “ No, I’m game if you are. ” It’s easy to lean into the moment, so as she steps closer, she rests one hand on Zayden’s shoulder and leans in to press her lips against his.

     “And I ain’t your sister.”

❝ so there’s bonnie and elena --- they’re my best friends, have been since we could walk and talk and everything. ❞  her voice is a bit quicker than it normally is, spurred by the anxiety twisting in her gut. which is ridiculous, really. because it shouldn’t matter what he thinks of them or they think of his. he’s not a guy she’s dating. he’s not a friend. he’s a...’hey funny story but i think my life is tied to this gigantic pain in the ass’ thing that really shouldn’t matter except...it does. her friends are inevitable. so it’s better to prepare him.  ❝ elena dated stefan, and then they broke up because she started to have feelings for damon --- who’s my... ❞  she winces, shifting in her seat before she reaches for a napkin to sketch out a diagram of all of them.  ❝ my sire, i guess? i don’t really consider him as it but i think that’s a vampire thing. anyway he’s friends with bonnie now too. and he’s stefan’s brother. but um, ❞  her pen pauses, hovering over the napkin for a moment, clearing her throat and feigning disinterest before she speaks again.  ❝ you’re not allowed to be friends with him, okay? even if you’re both complete pains in the ass. ❞         /          @endlessmarks​ !       

“IT’S GOOD TO SEE YOU,” The ravenette remarked to the other vampire. “It’s been a while, Zayden...” She spoke up. “How have you been?” Sam went on to question of the guy.

     And then the smirk formed, “Or somethin’ like that. Don’t look into it much, mate. I don’t.” He was mad enough as it was. 

“And I just can get my poor self together.”
