Man this ending took me back, sorry we had to say bye to it. There was a time where as much as I loved the shows, I think the highlight of my week was this song, The Real Folk Blues from Cowboy Bebop, and that iconic English dubbed Smile Bomb at the start of Yu Yu Hakusho in a two-hour bloc. Some solid anime on display there too, but this was still just a little bit before music completely on demand was ubiquitous. It's still so funny to me how goddamn much of an impact this show made on just about every girl my age I meet. This white-haired brooding bishie was responsible for at least, at least 10% of sexual awakenings for a generation.
Personally, I was in it for the story. Aaaaaand the pervy monk/sweet, sweet Sango. The "proud third party voter" of anime reminiscence. My Kagura love being a weird outlier too but the rest of y'all are wrong on that one so idk. That said, 12yo me thought I was watching some real high art...because I was. There'll me many more Inuyasha gifs to come, I'm finishing it this time, but we're about to go back to One Piece for a while and I got distracted with binging all the Frieren manga. Don't worry about spoilers for that flurry of posts though, it's mostly the silly fluff.
