Although, I’d love to see everyone being completely accepting of Danny. They don’t look at him with suspicion or hatred when they see him slip up, they’re amazed! He has powers just like the Madrigals? That’s super cool! And he has more than one? Not just phasing through solid objects, but also invisibility and sensing ghosts nearby? Even better!

I bet that Bruno would relate to him in a way. They were both looked down on for their powers, but in different ways. Bruno because he mostly predicted bad things with no control over it, and Danny because a lot of people, including his parents, really didn’t like “Phantom” because the sole reason that he was a ghost. Alma knew that it was Bruno who had the powers, Danny’s parents didn’t know he was the ghost they keep shooting at.

Also, Danny 100% defends Bruno from any villagers who blame him for having bad visions. Bruno’s lacked social interaction with other humans for ten whole years, but Danny’s up for fighting for him. His favorite line to use was “If I’m a child and I have to explain this to you, what does that say about you as an adult?”. He didn’t get in trouble for it.

Danny talks about space and teaches them about it! He’s more than happy to explain it all and answer their questions the best he can!

Danny eats Julieta’s food and is honestly freaked out because his ribs are suddenly not broken anymore. Take it a step further and say that he’s sleep deprived, and one of the side effects of having food that heals you is that it can make you really tired if you haven’t slept well for a while, so you can’t help but take a quick nap. So he just falls unconscious after a few bites and wakes up in the early morning not knowing what year it is.

It doesn’t get rid of his death mark, though, which confuses everyone. Speaking of his death mark, Danny doesn’t like to talk about it, but eventually explains that it’s a scar from being zapped. He doesn’t go into detail or talk about what exactly the incident did to him, though. He just mentions that he got zapped and has a scar from it.

Eventually, the Madrigals will come to the realization that he doesn’t just have ghost-like powers. He’s actually a ghost. Half ghost, at least.

Also, Danny swears he sees Pedro around the house, not just in the paintings, and the most often place is by Alma’s side. He’s even had conversations with him. To everyone else, it looks like he’s talking to thin air, but he seems so fixated on something that’s actually there and listens to nothing so much that they think he’s actually being serious. Once, during a conversation with Alma and she was telling him about Pedro, he looked at her very confused and said “What are you talking about? He’s standing right next to you”.

At first, she was upset, but he said it with way too much confusion and conviction that she starts to realize he’s serious. Every time someone says that he isn’t, Danny gestures to nothing and goes “Are you blind?! He’s right there!”. In his eyes, Pedro really is there, looking awkward because this kid sees him and is arguing with his family about it.

Honestly, Danny doing something by himself and then suddenly turning around and making immediate direct eye contact with Pedro would be really funny. Pedro is honestly freaked out because something seemed off with the kid from the beginning, and he just made eye contact with a ghost?

Oh, and you best believe that after being treated so nicely by everyone, Danny will start throwing hands the second another ghost tries to cause them trouble.

Outfits, outfits, outfits (*▪︎*))

Mirabel owns a small clothing shop in Mond, she used to be part of the Adventurers Guild (ignore the fact I spelt it wrong btw) full time but does odd jobs every so often now. Her 'old' outfit was meant to be her adult outfit and the new one was meant to be her teen years but I liked the teen outfit better and decided to switch them.

She's actually friends with Chiori, they met in Inazuma and Chiori helped upgrade her outfit from the AG uniform (a few months after gaining her vision too). They write to each other and often use Kirara to send other things like fashion samples and trades.

Mirabel's outfit is meant to look like a butterfly wings.

Her shop isn't popular to non-locals but everyone in Mond knows to head to her place if you want something fixed or made.

As the baby of the family, Damian gets Antonio’s animal speaking powers and absolutely is living his best life

Skipping Duke since he has his own powers already, we have Tim as Mirabel and Steph as Camilo. As tempting as it would be to switch them, I think there’s great angst potential in Steph never being sure if Bruce actually values her or just finds her powers useful.

Also angst in Tim being the only one without powers having to work to prove himself and Bruce being terrified as Jason has Luisa’s strength and was still struck down.

Outside of that Jason’s power doesn’t change that much, neither does Dick with Isabela’s powers, just now uses vines to swing around. Cass is a bit weird because she’d have Delores’ power, so now you have a girl who hears everything but can’t understand it. I mean it’d be helpful in the field, but I imagine it would get overstimulating quickly, especially trying to focus on one conversation while she’s just starting to learn English.

Finally we have Alfred, Barbara, and Bruce. I picked a random triplet for each since they’re the oldest, so Alfred gets magic healing cooking, obvs, Babs gets Bruno’s powers to match her Oracle branding (we’re not gonna talk about how this affects the killing joke or how Bruno made prophecies for others but never for himself ok?), and Bruce gets Pepa’s powers.

I mean like in a meta way Gotham was literally made to reflect Bruce's mental state, but what if that was true in universe? What if it's rained everyday since that night in the alley? What if you're trying to fix a city and you can't even fix your own brain? What if you're just making it worse? Worse weather, worse conditions, worse things you're willing to do to get out.

What if you're Batman, with an unreadable face, yet your emotion can be read on a thermometer?

What if you can't feel it in the Watchtower, but the weather warms up when you tell that old Bat a joke? What if the skies clear up when he knows you're flying to him?

What if you're Dick Grayson who can make the sunshine with your smiles? What if you're used to getting rained on when you try to talk?

What if you're Jason Todd, and the rainbow you once made only come out in the reflection on the hailstones he drops every time they mention your name? What if you once wanted nothing but thunder clouds, but now you want lightening to strike at everything but you?

What if you're Tim Drake, holding back a hurricane? Stephanie, reasoning with fog? Alfred, who's given up trying to change him, just grateful when it drizzles instead of snows?

and to clarify, I don't think Bruno deserves it, I think Sera and everyone there would agree that he is the perfect man, but it would be hilarious is God had something personal against Jorge(that spackle loving fuck)

So Bruno is trapped in hell as a weird little rat man with sand pouring out of his sleeves, and being the self loathing little guy he is, just accepts that he's there and doesn't deserve redemption even if it is possible. So what is he supposed to do now? Sure he can cheat the lottery a few times with his powers, but this is hell, he'll just get mugged, better to just get a job doing what he loves

And suddenly "Hellanovela" one of Voxtec's lowest rated shows is topping the charts. He's got everyone from goetia to overlords is loving the shows new direction. And speaking of Overlords, a certain pointy milf is now banging down Vox's door demanding to see the new writer. And the first thought she has when she meets this little weirdo throwing salt everywhere? I need to peg him

(And no, this ship isn't just because they're two of the only Latin characters on the show, it's because Bruno gives off the vibe of a man who desperately needs a dommy mommy and Carmilla very much fits the bill)

I have an idea an au of Encanto in ancient Greece like mirabel is a blessed immortal that Noone knows because she was born human and Pedro was a legacy of Apollo and mirabel was the only one who got the Gods but alma kicked her out of the village but mirabel found he way to circe's Island.

It is mainly a world-building and character-design exercise for myself to develop the culture of the island.

The story is simple. Instead of the miracle granting the refugees Encanto, it transported them to Bronthea's Island.

You will notice people are way healthier mentally here, and all will be explained with the respected characters.

Mirabel, for example, is not isolated from her family due to her lack of a gift, or blessing, as they would probably call it here, due to the more theistic nature of the people.

I didn't use a lot of world-building for her, but the other members of the family will have a bit more.

Btw, Kefálaio, according to Google Translate, means capital in Greek. They live in the capital of the island. To my dear Greek-speaking readers, if it doesn't make sense, please tell me about it.
