Someone as Ena, with so much drive and passion but lack of talent, had a hard time understanding Mafuyu who was almost the opposite, but she understood after talking to Mafuyu's mother and more importantly, after seeing her determination working with Niigo, what they have in common: they both have something they want to do no matter what, even when everything's against them, even when their minds have been conditioned to be against them

She also understood that if her father had been more manipulative and insistent, she would have probably ended up as Mafuyu, repressing her will. Mafuyu's lack of drive isn't her fault, she knows that, but there's something special in realizing how you were so close to ending up in the same situation as someone else so different from you

So, yeah... One of the things that I like the most about I nandesu is the playfulness of like... the voices of everyone. Kinda similar to how they sang in bug because if you see the lyrics there's actually pure chaos, you can read it in the lines (which are sang by all the group and like so frenetic and silly and that's why I love it):

"Unexpectedly brawling away. Dancing in melancholy ‘til we lose the light of day. Choruses belting, “we can’t be happy!” Succumbing to blinded faith and treachery."

But then, the chorus hits and the message evolves and evolves, going basically from: "I'm a mistake" to "I'm a mistake but thanks to that I am who I am". And that's specially shown in the final chorus, where I actually found out about this thing of the "ai" being also double meaning of love?? Like... I already knew "ai" meant that in japanese but I didn't know Rerulili used it in such a cool way here:

"Life is so ridiculously cute! You will struggle through, but the rain will clear up too! Yes, it’s a truth that no-one can refute; Shining in our history; That is what “愛 (ai)” must be"

And well, to my eyes that's exactly what they want to convey with that. The sense that with all that's going on the world one can find a way to shine and be like oneself (doing the things only you love).

In the sense of line distribution and everything, I know this is an Ena focus song but I feel like the message of the lyrics could also apply to Mafuyu, since she also takes a lot of spotlight in Ena3. But well... A lot of the lines are just Ena-pilled to the death so hehehe...

In conclusion, yeah nothing can surpass Watashi wa Ame for me in terms of favourite Ena commisions but I nandesu is a close one (just after Nomad of course).
