actually she more than likely was forced to quit work on the comic. nobody (besides Tessa, of course) really KNOWS for sure what happened, but the big speculation on it is she ran into legal issues with her publishing company (4DE), thus putting a permanent halt on the comic. Tessa is actually very sweet and appreciative of her fans.
We have statements from other artists who used that publisher that no, they are not some evil greedy monsters who suddenly turned on Tessa and decided to halt a popular webcomic with a large fanbase for âreasons.â Which like, obviously not, that doesnât make a lick of sense. Why would they halt production at the height of a comicâs popularity? Why would they force Tessa to go into hiding for 4 years? Why are you bending over backwards to make excuses for this artist after she stole from her fans?Â
I have no idea what sheâs like now, but I know she let her fans think she was dead for 4 years and took money from her fans in exchange for work that never materialized. No amount of âsweetâ and âappreciativeâ today is gonna erase that from my memory. And I would encourage anyone thinking of working with her or giving her money to think about her past.Â
If you wanna take a chance on her, more power to you. But she let people think she was dead for 4 years, and she never paid people back the money she took from them. You know who did? Her supposedly evil publisher.Â
