This one is from a day I felt creative...
No Len, sorry (I don't have any 3 or 4 stars of him...)
Well, huh... This is just me bragging of having all the niigo Meiko cards avaliable on the eng server...
Meiluka in the Empty Sekai. An analysis about their stances.
I've actually been wanting to do this for a while because their dinamic is one of the craziest things in this game.
First, to understand what are the things in which their opinions converge and in which ones not we have to understand how do they handle the different problems that appear in the story, because, as anyone could see, there's a clear pattern.
- Starting with Luka, since the very beginning she makes clear her point of view saying that "sometimes, things need to be shaken up to move forward" Which is a valid point in most cases, however, it takes consecuences as in any decision.
That's her stance. She will offer advice, but you must be prepared to know the reality. It's up to you if you want to change or not.
-In this case you could say she's kinda similar to Kaito, which is true because the two of them believe on taking action to change. But their methods are different, because what differences Luka with Kaito is that she will tell you the reality, her way of seeing your situation, and try to make you see what's wrong. You see, it's not manipulation. She's just helping you see the situation and seek for your own solution.
What Kaito does is expose the reality and expect you to take the most obvious solution for yourself. That's mostly why he said to the other vocaloids at the beginning, when he appeared, that "they've been babysitting the girls too much". Because here you could confront 2 ways of thinking and helping: the "guide them" VS the "let them seek the solution for themselves".
-So yeah, Luka believes that is necesary to help the girls, but she's willing to offer her own point of view too. She since the beginning is shown as a person of curious nature, who thinks things her own way, and it could seem that she's actually stupid but she's not, she's so so smart, and that playfulness mixed with the maturity that shows sometimes honestly makes her feel like the typical mom who is an earthquake lol (the only examples that I can think of right now are Yor from Spy x Family but honestly they are not the same character, although I could actually see Luka murdering someone...).
And then we move on to Meiko...
-As we could see, Meiko preffers since the beginning to observe the girls from a distance without intervene, because, and attention, because this is actually important, one of her reasons to do this is that "Someone can become blind to some things by getting to close". What does she mean by this? Okay, this basically relates to her stance of being "objetive" and mantain the status quo, because if you intend to help someone and listen to their problems, you end up involved in them too. You ask them if they are okey, you offer them advices and lastly you come to know them and unconciously positionate at their side. But you carry your own responsibility the moment you intervene to help. Then you have a lot of variables to handle: wether you're being right or wrong, the consecuences that could convey taking action based on the advices you give...
And because of this, Meiko preffers to stay out of the "guide them" form of helping and stay in a point in the middle.
- You see, she doesn't offer the girls a concrete answer, she doesn't help doing that (mostly because her way of thinking is sooo passive and the way you can aproach that is always more dangerous, this is why Mizu5 happened, mostly. But what can we say, she kinda represents Mizuki's insecureness and cynism back when she was still in middle school and hahaha that sure is a powerful combo). She's actually similar to Kaito on this, because she ends up believing too that "changes" are also important to move forward, but in the end she tends more to make the girls search for their own solution without pressuring them (that way nothing changes at the very moment). She just helps giving time.
- This is interesting because she's someone who's extremely scared of consecuences (as we could see in Mizu5 and Kana6) and that's part of her negative to actually help the girls by direct advices.
This leaves us to this question: Are Luka's and Meiko's methods actually that incompatible??
Well, the two of them believe in a different way of doing things, and their stances ARE opposite. But the way in which they "behave"? Is kinda the same. You know, if Luka since the beginning also could thought that intervene directly wasn't the answer, she could team very well with Meiko. So this actually makes their methods not incompatible, but complementary between them.
We have actually seen them work in the same issue together, a very interesting example were their ideals work good together is on Mizu4, where, if I'm not mistaken, is Luka herself who makes Mizuki realize the whole methaphorical thing of "running away". Which it kinda makes me wonder... This "finding" didn't actually lead to nothing in Mizuki's side, this mostly was to identify the "problem", and while doing so, helping Mafuyu with her situation huh... Idk, maybe I'm thinking too much (I am). But exactly.
This is exactly what I mean.
Making Mizuki see the reality would be a waste of time. Because she already knew what she was doing to herself. So, seeing Meiko's stance of giving Mizuki time, she just decided to help Mizuki think about "herself" not actually telling her to change anything.
But this is only this case. The rest of the time the two stances lead to solutions, yes, but with not actually the most desirable consecuences (Mizu5 Mizu5 aaaaaah). This is also interesting because they both agree on taking different solutions of doing things, if you see Meiko's Kana6 card story you can see how they start playing cats craddle and end up making like a whole methaphorical conversation where they're actually talking about their stances again (which started Luka because she is so fucking genius and loves torturing the licensed philosopher of empty sekai).
Uuuh I'd actually want to talk about Kaito too because I think I explained some things about him very briefly but this is an analysis abt Meiluka so...
If you want to fight me go ahead I'm interested on what people think of this and I know this is so brief and that I'm probably wrong in a lot of things, sooo yeah, feel free to tell your opinion if you want
I don't know much about Alien Stage but...
Why their outfits are lowkey giving Sua vibes??
