"So--"
           "you see--"
"it's nothing personal."
           "Personally, I think--"
"you're awesome."
Matthew murmurs, glancing over at the young man sitting next to him. Looking him up and down in a worried way, he continues to speak. "But I mean, what am I suppothed to do here? Hannibal was...a major player in me dishcovering myself. And I can't exactly repay his kindness by shitting on him, right?"
His shoulders slump slightly as he drives, realizing how absolutely lame that sounds. Why is this so hard? He hardly ever trips over his words anymore, even when they come out a little distorted-- courtesy of his speech impediment. But this feels like a first date and the girl isn't very chatty. So he insists on filling the silence with his own words-- explanations when none are needed.
Will Graham is a science experiment of Hannibal the Cannibal's and that's the end of it. He was indebted to Hannibal, so he'd do as he was told. Why did it matter if Will knew that he didn't want to do this to him? Let's not overlook the fact that Will wouldn't ever remember this conversation, much less his involvement. Oh well. The heart does funny things, does it not?
