Cider:Â A food that you disliked as a child but now enjoy?
Brussels sprouts, and cooked greens in general. My mom only knew how to cook vegetables by steaming them, so they were always rubbery af and I hated them, or at best tolerated them.
When I became an adult and experienced pan-seared and sautĂŠed and roasted greens, I fell in love. Brussels sprouts sautĂŠed with bits of chopped bacon and garlic are especially delicious.
Amber:Â Share an unpopular opinion that you may have.
You folks really like my unpopular opinions, donât you? I think youâre all trying to get me in trouble, lol.
Hereâs an autumnal unpopular opinion -- I donât care that much for Halloween. I know on this website thatâs likely to get me burned at the stake, but tbh I donât care much for holidays in general. Maybe because they remind me of family, and family isnât something I associate with good feelings anymore.
I donât like decorating for holidays or going out on holidays or carrying on holiday traditions. Halloween is more fun than most, but I always forget to put together a costume until the last minute, and it tends to feel like a hassle.
