Rya, my oldest dragon, a silver lightning spitter. I first created her when I was 10 years old and I used pictures on the internet as her reference like a bad child. I never had the heart to get rid of her and she’s always sort of been there, so I’ve introduced her as the ageing Empress of the dragon civilisation in my books! She is a compassionate leader who does her best to see to the needs of her subjects, and convenes her council to help her listen to the needs of her peoples and act accordingly.

Anyways, a bit about these two. Rya is Empress of dragons at the time the books are set in, and Soul is her secretary and also, her life-long friend. Rya lives in the Grand Citadel of the dragons’ capital city, Dracora, and spends most of her days listening to her subjects, planning to help improve infrastructure, and giving her blessings to hunting parties. Soul is there to keep her on schedule, and to bring her up to speed on the latest happenings. She lives in the chambers next to the Empress’s, and is considered the dragon to know in the inner circles.
