The Kings Speech: Kindness prevails over Clever. Mighty deeds indeed.

A magnificent movie, and I am thrilled that it won Best Picture tonight against front-runner "The Social Network". I find it standing in wonderful symbolic defiance against totalitarianism, tyranny and dictatorship. Uh, I mean Facebook.
It is the story of a man who struggled to say much, yet inspired a nation in triumphant unity. By contrast, we have the story of the man who apparently said too much and inspired a 500 million person nation to divide and conquer, in passive-aggressive one-upmanship, popularity obsessions and zero-sum games of "Pretty / Not Pretty".
"Cleverness is a gift. Kindness is a choice. Do you wish to be remembered for your gifts? Or your choices." (re-quoting my favorite Jeff Bezos quote)
