I've been told I'm an encourager. I'm not always the best at lifting people up...but deep down inside, I know what it's like to be devastated, by words, and by actions. I've been beat up literally and figuratively at different times in my life...and you know what those experiences did? They created a fire. One that burns deep inside...to see people loved. To BE love to those around me. I have failed that mission, as we all do sometimes...but I FIRMLY believe: empathy is a superpower. I believe when we give it freely: we become superheroes in someone's life. If we can take our stumbling blocks...line them tall - stand at the top, and get a better view of another's battles...what better way to climb over their walls and pull them out? I've used part of my wreckage...to free a somber soul that needs a boost. If I can share in their shadow...maybe together we can bring in some light. What tried to destroy me, only made me stronger to LIFT others up. Those battle scars that hurt while I was in the moment...allow me to feel for others NOW. I might walk wounded, but I can still try to elevate as many hearts as possible.
