6AM.
Feeling emotionally drained. I've given up on pretending to sleep. It's been awhile since I last saw a sunrise. The last time was probably when I was driving back home from our Socal trip. There's something extraordinary about a sunrise; it's different from a sunset. Maybe it's because I'm usually awake to see and acknowledge the fact that the sun is going down. I'm probably taking it for granted. But regardless, a sunrise feels different. The times that I am awake for it, it's like as if it has been waiting for me. Almost as if the sky was expecting me to witness the change in its colors, the start of a new day. It's 6am. I'm sure the walls have heard enough of my muffled cries. Puffy eyed and nearly sleepless, I've lost sight of why I'm still crying. 6am. Emotionally drained.
