☮: Favourite thing about your muse 

lmao is it a cop out if I say everything? Like literally Runey loves everything about Em, from his smile, mannerisms, affection, general beanstalkness. A more appropriate question would be an unfavorite thing about Em, which would be his tendency to hide what’s wrong, among others.

☯: First impression of your muse 

Runey first thought that Em was this skittish person that he needed to assure after a giant electric spider crash landed into his base. He wanted to make sure that this stranger would be alright, considering his almost panicked mannerisms before he fled from the base.

♠: Favourite thing to do with your muse 

Ofc everything that they get to do together. But if he really had to pick, than those moments where they’re just laying somewhere in each other’s arms, saying nothing and simply enjoying the moment.

Ω: Favourite feature of your muse's 

Of hecking course it’s everything again. Though he’s weak to those eyes and those sideburns. Oomph 11/10 would not change a thing.

♤: Way they apologize to your muse 

If it’s something small, apologies are done with hugs and kisses. If it’s something big that ended up with them not talking for hours, then he would go up to Em, apologize with words first before hugging him silently. There’d be some kisses but it’s more make up hugging than make out.

Runey loves to intertwine their fingers together when they hold hands. Sometimes he just loves curling his fingers so Emmet’s hand completely engulfs his.

Depends on the mood. Sometimes its sweet and short and tender. Sometimes it’s toe curling, searing passion that leaves him a little light headed and yearning for more. Sometimes it’s those half distracted kind of kisses, like the kind you get when you’re like ‘oh thank ya fer helpin’ me solve this puzzle’ -kisses-

Again, depends on the mood. Runey’s favorite is the big spoon / little spoon kind of hugs. Em completely engulfing him is also 10/10

Anything that showcases the place that Runey’s been in. Also, dresses when he finds one in Em’s size. His favorite are sundresses and anything really flowy and form fitting

Would take up one side before curling up next to Em once he’s in bed with him. Tucks his head just beneath Em’s chin

❧: Random affectionate headcanon

Runey is an avid lover of corny printed socks whenever he comes to Em’s place during autumn or winter. Em tries to hide it deep in the sock drawer and place perfectly good looking ones on top. Runey still finds them anyway and wear the monstrosities all day. Em eventually goes all ‘I swear Runey if you don’t stop wearing those then the number of kisses will go down by two. That’s right. Two.’

“I’m going to Alola.”

“Okay?” Emmet blinked in surprise. When Cynthia explained that there was something she needed to tell him in person he hadn’t known what to expect. It didn’t really matter to him where she went in the world so long as she dropped by from time to time, but she seemed rather grave.

“I don’t know for how long, exactly…”

Cynthia didn’t like having to explain herself. There were things that needed to be mulled over and the other side of the world seemed like the perfect place to do it. Emmet, she hoped, understood the need for silence.

He nodded and held out his arms to her for a hug and the blonde happily obliged, being bundled up in her friend’s lanky arms was an experience in itself.

“Be sure to text,” he replied at last, his chin resting on the top of her head. “I don’t care how much it costs you from way out in the ocean.”

“Of course? It’s Alola! Home of shirtless buff men!” She scoffed sounding much more like her usual self. She leaned back to give a firm pat on the shoulder. “Who else am I going to send pictures of all the cute boys to?”

Emmet and Ingo are the princes of a kingdom in the Unova region. The successor for the king is undecided as of yet. Despite this seemingly cause for rivalry, the twins are very close to each other.

One day, Emmet was visiting the markets in disguise as he wanted to see how the people were without tipping them off that royalty was among their masses.

He ends up stumbling on a small stand, decorated with all sorts of knick knacks he’d never seen before. It’s manned by a scruffy blond by the name of Aarune.

Aarune’s a travelling merchant. He goes from one place to another, selling, buying and trading items with the locals, which led to his current stock of various new and foreign items to Emmet.

Emmet buys several items and their small talk eventually led to Emmet returning a couple of days later. Aarune loves the company and tells his customer all sorts of stories regarding his travels to faraway lands.

This becomes a recurring thing. Whenever Aarune’s in the kingdom carrying new wares, Emmet would return as his best buying customer. 

When Emmet winds up becoming the successor, the next time sees Aarune, he tells him the truth. “So yer th’ new king?” “Yes.” “Doesn’t mean that ya’ll get a discount, though.” “Really? Not even a bit?” “... maybe.”

Emmet orders for the construction of a shop for Aarune. There’s he’s able to keep more of his wares and has an assistant to sell it for him in his absence. Aarune loves it since he has a reason to return to the kingdom aside from the king he may or may not have a crush on

“Ok, so you go... Like, find Thorton and I’ll go... Does Thorton like boys?” Cynthia squinted long and hard as thought it would jog her memory about Thorton’s sexual preference. Something told her... Maybe? And yet maybe not? “I’ll go and ask Barry and then we can reconvene here in like ten minutes.”

Emmet’s eyes had sort of glazed over about halfway through her sentence and she waved her hand in front of his face to jog him back to reality.

“You go find Thorton,” she summarised for him and he nodded with vigour.

At the back of his mind, he knew he should head in soon. If Emmet woke up without him by his side, he was going to worry, which was the last thing he needed. There were already plenty of things to worry about already. The future... there was no telling the outcome of this mess. 

All that he really knew was of his indefinite stay in Unova. The thought alone made his skin crawl. He had never stayed longer than a few weeks and now, he was actually going to stay here for potentially months on end? Aarune hated to admit that the idea scared him. He knew all of this was for his partner but his heart still beat a little faster everytime his mind conjured up his face when he thought about staying.

That was another thing that he hated with a passion. Why did he still felt afraid? More than ten years had pass and he even made return trips to this region every couple of months. Nothing had happened every time he stepped foot on Unovan soil. In fact, he even wondered if that man still thought that he was alive. Being a teenager at the time of his escape, it was logical to assume that he would have little to no experience in surviving in the outside world.

You know why you’re afraid. It’s because--

“Why are you still up?” The soft voice snapped him out of his dark thoughts. Aarune looked up to see Emmet leaning against the doorframe, eyes tired but still holding a healthy dose of worry in them. He bit his inner cheek to halt his guilt from creeping up into his expression. After several seconds of silence, he managed to make his lips form a small smile.

“I wasn’t finished with this,” Aarune responded as picked up the mug, stared at his reflection on the surface for a while longer before tipping back the contents. Even cooled, the milk tasted delicious. After finishing about half of it, he placed it back on the table, one hand wiping off the milk mustache on his upper lip. 

During the time it took for him to drink, Emmet had gravitated to his side, a hand resting on his shoulder. “What’s wrong?”

Aarune resisted the instinctive everything sitting on the tip of his tongue. Instead, he swallowed heavily before saying, “Nothing’s wrong. I were just thinkin’ ‘bout some stuff, that’s all.”

Even without looking at his face, Aarune knew Emmet wanted more out of his explanation. He just couldn’t give it to him, not now anyways. The blond stood up, grabbed Emmet’s hand before heading to the bedroom. He will clean up that mug in the morning.
