“No.” Thad was silent for a moment before the answer came before him. Slade was right. These decisions were irreversible. Thad knows that better than anyone. Loss, anger, death, failure, they were hard pills to swallow, but this time around what did he have to lose? And with this Slade? He would be careful. At the forefront of his mind would be himself. If he was betrayed all he had to do was run. There would be no one of worth for him to lose. No one important to lose or betray.

“No, I’m not having second thoughts.” It would be better to get this over with.

“Don’t you think I know that? I still want to negotiate on my cut. After all I’m a rarity in this field, no?” He flashed a cocky seeming grin at Slade hoping to wipe away an doubts from him. It would be better to get this over before anything went wrong; Before he truly began to have second thoughts.

It’s a soft curse, with barely ANY body behind it. He can’t bring himself to lament the time spent in that bed, in that embrace - he doesn’t think he ever will. But there are instances with that comfort betrays him, and he finds his days worn thin. 

He’s about to miss an appointment at Bruce’s preferred tailor. Having been engaged to attend a number of benefits for the billionaire in his upcoming extended absence due to League business, it appears as though the big guy wants him to look the part. 

The only issue is, the OTHER Big Guy happens to be in town this week.
