I don't know how familiar you are with the otherkin community as a whole, but there are many ways people can figure out that they're otherkin/factkin!

For some, memories from past lives surface through dreams, meditation, deja vu, etc! I usually figure things out this way. Specifically I figured out I was Peter III of Aragon through a mixture of meditation and research on him and the time period!

For some, research is the main thing! They have feelings of being someone/thing else so the research until they find something that fits! For example, an animal otherkin may feel like they're supposed to have paws/claws/tails and research until they find an animal where a factkin person may know they were a singer in a specific time period from a specific genre and research until they find a person!

For others, it can just be a gut feeling that bags and nags and doesn't go away. This is mostly how I figured out I was Eminemkin. Listening to his music and stuff gave me such a deep sense of belonging and I went with it!

Any combination of these can occur, and there are other methods like pendulums and stuff that I'm less familiar with that I know people use!
