this is something that i’ve wanted to draw for a very long time, and also something that took me a very long time to draw ;;w;; i never thought i’d end up drawing fanart for a phone game tv commercial of all things ww
[this is a parody of blouson chiemi with b. the omake comic refers to their self-introduction routine.]
i spent a really long time (as you can probably tell from the dates) drawing this extremely specific oresama teacher with b parody fanart for my own enjoyment OTL. i don't think many people will get this unless you watch a lot of japanese variety or have some familiarity with japanese comedians, but blouson chiemi and her "career woman" skit was extremely popular last year and it became a trend for people to re-enact it. SO I REALLY WANTED TO DRAW MAFUYU AND HER BOYS PARODYING THIS BECAUSE IT'S EXACTLY THE KIND OF DUMB THING THEY WOULD PROBABLY DO ;;w ;;;

...hello! it's been a while. after a 2 year break, i'm back and drawing arashi costumes again! this time i drew the full set of the We Can Make It! PV costumes from 2007. :) it's been 4 years since i started this project, and 2 years since i last worked on it. my art and painting has definitely changed in that time, but i hope it's for the better. i'm often frustrated with my artstyle because i'm still so unsure of how i want it to look or develop. :'( even so, i'll keep drawing and creating until i get closer to where i want to be. OTL these days i'm mostly active on twitter and i really have a lot of fun with the arashi community there! :'D so most of my arashi content/art will be posted over there. for this project as well, i'll continue posting sets of 5 here on tumblr, but i'll be posting individual costume drawings on twitter as they're completed. the next costumes will be based on themes of my own choice, but i'll also be taking costume suggestions again in the future, most likely through twitter, so do hit me up over there if you've got good ones in mind! thank you for looking at my art, i hope you'll enjoy it. :) please continue to support me and my project from now on too! よろしくおねがいします！
i started this a year ago to celebrate my second year as an arashi fan, but didn’t get the chance to finish it and before i knew it a year had passed and it was already the third year! :O this performance is very special to me, so i wanted to somehow capture what it meant to me ;; although it didn’t turn out like i wanted
i hoped to finish this earlier so i could draw something especially for ohno’s birthday, but as you already know by now, it’s basically impossible for me to be on time OTL.
so happy birthday to my beloved ohno, and thank you so much for being arashi's leader, for making arashi what it is, and most of all, for introducing me to the arashi that changed my life. i’ll shout my love to you forever!!
