exit path! it's a flash game from 2010 i used to play that's a platformer where at first you're trying to survive, but then the objective becomes clear that you have to get this guy out of the city

i needed to create an identity for the guy i made in 2021 (link to a sorta outdated ref), so i remembered this game, became reattached to it, and named that guy “exit”. that also means i've played the game again recently! it has a timer which means you can speedrun it :)

i use bluemaxima flashpoint for everything flash game-related. also on the topic of flash games it may seem like this is the only game-based inspiration for my character but it's not. there's a second flash game which ALSO uses a similar type of player that I used to play, it's called "Give Up"

it was made in 2012 and happens to be made by the same guy, the point of this is to survive a brutally hard platformer with the option to click the "give up" button on each stage. if you click it you lose. also i beat this game recently too :) (but don't have a screenshot since the end screen was animated)
