Now, I'm not fully sure of elytrin wings will work, and I might change this but this is what I'm going with right now:
Elytrin wings are a type of high-speed wing, they can fly fast for long periods of time; the end has long gaps between islands, which is why all end type hybrids have some type of traveling method. Enderians have teleporting, shulks can float, elytrisn can fly and dragons can...well also fly-
Oh! And rant here, nether hybrids are all immune to fire and heat, like they can bathe in lava. Unless their a tracer, in which case they just have a resistance to being burned(by the sun or heat)
The main layer of feathers, like the top, represents an elytrins over all personality or a key personality traits one might say; shekby ahs always been creative so purple was her color, false is more calm and a bit distrustful so a grayish blue fits
The primary/secondary feathers, the ones under the 1st layer, represents something their good at; Shelbys good at bringing people together so green, false is good at tinkering so a light copper color fit
The same goes for enderians but about their horns and tail fluff, respectively. So Olis horns are purple while his tail fluff is pink
The same goes for a dragons spikes and wing skin thing, and shulkers shell coating(top and bottem); nightlights would be a dark blue for his spikes and a deep purple for his wings
These colors CAN change for a few reasons; trauma, they've grown, etc. However they will typically always stay in the color range so like galses used to be a neon blue, but turned into a greyish type when she got taken
